I hope you have recovered from the over-indulgence of Thanksgiving!!! Turkey, turkey soup, turkey chili...I don't want to see another turkey til next year! So much has happened, I'm not sure where to begin.
Went to Vegas to see my pals in Exposé. The girls have been rehearsing their buns off and they look/sound amazing! I videotaped in case I sub for one of the chicas or in case we do gigs with all four of us. So exciting! It was the first time Gioia and I have been able to hang out together and we really enjoyed getting to know each other! She has such a warm, exhuberant personality! Brian Vibberts and I are teaming up to produce a very talented 11 year old singer/actress named Juliette Goglia. You may have caught her on CSI, Desperate Housewives or 3Lbs. She's a busy girl with a lot of energy and talent...we're psyched to work with her. She writes her own songs and sometimes it's hard to believe she's only eleven!
I wrote/sang a cue for CSI Miami recently. I was also featured on the Exorcism episode of "Without A Trace". It's an honor to be part of such well-produced shows. Work has me runnin' like a gerbil on a treadmill but I can't help it man...I just love to SING!!!
American Pie V will soon be released on DVD. My partner from 2 Clicks Down, Curt Harpel, and I wrote "That's What Dreams R Made Of" for the film. The Pie sequels have all been funny, so I'm looking forward to getting my copy. Perfect stocking stuffer for the holidays also!!! Hint, hint...
Ah, speaking of the holidays...the sheet music for "Can't Live Without Your Love" will be ready for download soon. May has been working out the glitches, so please stay tuned. We're trying to post the karaoke version of "Can't Live" on iTunes right now.
Our eco-friendly house is almost finished! We're about 3 weeks away from final inspection! We can't get the gas turned on til after inspection, so I made my turkey on the grill, Bobby Flay style. I hope Bobby's turned out better than mine! My brother came to the rescue by wielding an electric knife like a samurai warrior and hacking the bird to pieces. In the end, it was tasty, but we had a good laugh while he was kung-fu-fighting with a turkey breast!!!
Working on a MySpace page for Ashley Johnson. You will finally be able to hear the incredible voice/talent of this Alaskan-based singer/songwriter. I am so proud of my hometown and the talent it spawns (no pun intented). It must be the cold weather that inspires people to diligently create/practice their music.
I recently had the pleasure of sitting with a few friends who were playing at La Ve Lee. Sean Holt and I used to sing together quite often, but not so much lately. You hear his big, soulful voice on commercials all the time...Toyota, McDonald's, Quizno's. The man can SING!!! I hope we get to do that again soon! What a rush! Took me a few days to recover.
