Hello Again!
There are some amazing things happening on Days of Our Lives! Thanks for being a part of it! The story is gettin’ really good, more people are watching and we are having fun putting it together for you.
I want to address some concerns that you have had, then I can get to the news…
You have shown some concern for the periods of time Bo has not been around. Rumor has it I took time off for a movie, or I’ve been fired, which are NOT true. I have not been fired and I am not doing a movie. Jim Reilly writes in a very on the edge of your seat and what’s gonna happen next kinda way. Particular stories are working, then he switches to other stories, so characters come and go depending on which story is being featured.
I have also cut my hair and people have had their theories about that. It’s simply because I got tired of the long hair and wanted to have it shorter again. I just wanted a change.
One last rumor—Kelly is not pregnant. I did a few interviews a while back where I talked about the future, where I saw myself, etc. I was talking about the future in a not-so-immediate sense. We appreciate your well wishes, though!
I don’t know if you had a chance to see the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix on the Speed Channel, but I had an incredible time this year! The most important part of participating in “Racing For Kids” is visiting the Miller Children’s Hospital. Some of the children we’d visited had just arrived the night before from car accidents and some had been there for years. Some children were there for their periodic check-ups whether it was one every month or every six months. These kids’ spirits astounded me. I believe I got more out of the visit than they did. It was a very special time. It’s an honor to participate in a charity that donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to children in need.
Since I won last year as a celebrity, this year I raced with the pros. We had one of the top racers in our field whom is Italian, an awesome driver and very helpful—Max Papis. He was always giving out pointers and I think he gave a few too many to me. The pros start 30 seconds behind the celebrities, so when the green flag dropped to start the race, I got on Max’s bumper and stayed there. As we moved through the field of celebs he did everything he could to shake me but couldn’t until…the second to last lap we were coming off the straight-away passing our last celeb, Little Kim, (for the second time) and I had a little mishap. I forgot to mention it was raining and we were driving upwards of 100 mph. Anyway, as we came into the corner I applied my brakes while my right-hand tires were on a paint stripe, so I slid out of control, hit the wall and was not able to finish the race. It was fun while it lasted and I ended up having the fastest lap-time. Max said his buddies will never let him live down the fact than an actor had a faster lap than he did. That’s it though—I think my racing days are over.
As you know, Kelly and I are trying to build an environmentally friendly home. We thought we were going to start last September, but we’ve just now settled on a builder. We are very excited because we have been able to do a lot of research on different building and finish materials so our home will have as little impact on the earth as possible and be a healthy living environment.
The Emmys were a blast this year! Kristian and I presented the Best Supporting Actor category and we were crossing our fingers that Jim Reynolds would take home that trophy! It wasn’t the case, but we whooped it up anyway!
Thanks again for signing on and watching the show! Keep showing up on the NBC sites and the different magazine sites to give your opinion. It helps out the show and the actors you like.
Take care—Peter.
